What is publishing?

“Publishing a deck” is a feature that makes a deck you created viewable by anyone at a dedicated URL (example: https://ai-deck.app/d/<slug>).

An OGP image is automatically generated for each published deck, so when you paste the URL into X (formerly Twitter) or Slack, it appears as a card preview. It is a handy way to share something like “my list of AI tools” with your followers.

How to publish

1. Click the “Publish” button at the top right of your deck

On the dashboard, click the “Publish” button (or the share icon) at the top right of the deck you want to publish.

2. Review the publish settings

You can configure the following in the dialog.

  • Title: The title shown on the public page (defaults to the deck name)
  • Description: A short description shown at the top of the page
  • Include private notes: Whether to publish your notes for each service (default: not included)
  • Include My Services: Whether to publish the custom services you added yourself (My Services)

If you include private notes, the full text of your notes becomes visible to anyone, so review their content before turning this on.

3. Click “Publish” to get your URL

When you publish, a URL in the format https://ai-deck.app/d/<slug> is issued. Use the copy button to copy the URL to your clipboard, then paste it into X or a blog post.

The “Share on X” button takes you straight to the post screen with pre-filled share text (“I just published my AI deck”).

Update a published deck

If you edit your deck after publishing, click the “Publish” button again and choose “Update and publish” to reflect the latest state on the public page.

The URL does not change, so any URLs you shared in the past keep working.

Unpublish a deck

Click “Unpublish” in the publish dialog, and the public URL will start returning a 404 (other users can no longer view it).

However, the same URL comes back if you republish. If you just want to make the deck private for a while, feel free to unpublish it.

What is not shown on the public page

Items that are always hidden on a published deck:

  • Services you have removed from your favorites
  • Services you have set to “Hidden”
  • My Services, when “Include My Services” is turned off in the settings
  • Notes, when “Include private notes” is turned off in the settings
  • Account information (email, plan, and your other decks)

Q. Do viewers need to log in to see a published deck? A. No. Anyone can view it just by opening the URL.

Q. Are published decks indexed by search engines? A. While a deck is public, it can be indexed. If you want to avoid indexing, share the URL only within a closed audience, such as on X.

Q. Can I publish just one deck and keep the others private? A. Yes. Publishing is set per deck. Your other decks are not affected.
